Nancy L. Morgan, MS, PhD

This workshop introduces Ketamine-Assisted Therapy for those interested in ketamine’s use for depression, anxiety, expanded insight, Self-awareness, and more.  The workshop will also include case histories and outcomes, ketamine’s applications via intramuscular injection, infusion, and as a sublingual lozenge, its duration of effect under different dosages, and the ideal therapeutic modality for use with ketamine: The Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of therapy.
IFS is an ideal therapeutic framework for use with psychedelic medicines given its non-pathologizing, systemic approach to understanding and healing the wounded parts within each of us.  The IFS model supports ketamine-assisted therapists especially well given it recognizes clients possess the wisdom needed to heal.  Therapeutic gains have been enhanced when using ketamine as an ally in the healing process. We will explore how IFS offers therapists a framework to apply during each stage of ketamine-assisted therapy with clients.

Nancy is a Level 3 trained Certified IFS Therapist, Consultant and trainer.  She is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon. She has worked for over twenty five years with adults impacted by the effects of adverse childhood experiences.

She provides a 12-hour Introduction to IFS training to therapists and educators and she provides training and consultation for therapists interested in learning about psychedelic-assisted therapies and research.
